Amendment Signed Into Law
Governor Janet Mills signs LD613, an amendment to Maine’s Death with Dignity Act, into law. The amendment allows physicians to use their clinical discretion to waive up to 10 days of the 15-day waiting period for qualified patients.
The amendment goes into effect on September 24, 2025.
