Kansas State Representative Jim Gartner (D-53) introduces HB2089, the Kansas Death with Dignity Act. The bill is referred to the House Committee on Health and Human Services, but does not advance.

Introduced on January 20, 2017, HB2120, the Kansas Death with Dignity Act, is referred to the House Committee on Health and Human Services.

Meanwhile, a resolution in the Kansas State House, HCR5010, is introduced to oppose “physician-assisted suicide.” A hearing takes place on March 6, 2017.
