Georgia: Thank the Sponsors!
This session, Georgia lawmakers introduced the Georgia Death with Dignity Act (SB610), a bill that would legalize medical aid in dying in the state. They also introduced HR1669, a resolution that would allow a committee to study end-of-life care and planning in Georgia, including Death with Dignity. Unfortunately, the session ended, and the bill and resolution will not advance this year.
So what’s next? Let’s turn this difficult moment into action. Join us in thanking the bill sponsors of SB610 and HR1669. They had the courage to advocate for your end-of-life freedom, and we want them to remain champions for the next session. Let them know that the future of medical aid in dying in Georgia remains critically important to us, and thank them for their continued support.
Take two minutes and write to the sponsors of HR1669 and SB610 and thank them for introducing Death with Dignity legislation.
