SB403—an amendment to the End of Life Option Act removing the sunset clause and making the law permanent—cleared one of its final hurdles by passing the Assembly Appropriations Committee.

Next stop: a full vote on the Assembly floor. If it passes, SB403 will head to Governor Gavin Newsom’s desk, and with his signature, it will secure the future of California’s Death with Dignity law.
